Unforgettable

The day I found a new solution to a bug that was troubling my team for a long time was unforgettable as my first day in school. The problem was due to an unknown data that had strayed into the system, despite the high security of Unix systems. I was sitting there in the modern bedroom of my apartments almost without taking a breath. It took me almost six days to find out the cause of the problem. Finally it was my good friend Harry who called up and told me that he had uploaded a file into the system sometime ago and asked me to check on it. Then there was the culprit - the potential cause for this long standing error was at last nabbed. It was a strange system file that no one would have doubted. To tell the truth, even guys at Sun Solaris even could not be of much help. It occurred to me as though this would take us a lifetime, in the beginning. I was praised for my effort but I could never forget the trauma that gripped me.
