OpenVZ goes the ubuntu way

Due Credit: Techrepublic

OpenVZ, the open-source virtualization project, will be adding support for the Linux variant Ubuntu.

Users will download an Ubuntu software template from OpenVZ. With this template, they can then set up OpenVZ VMs (virtual machines) of either Ubuntu server or desktop on an existing Linux system.

"Ubuntu is by far the fastest growing Linux distribution," said Kir Kolyshkin, manager of the OpenVZ project. "We wanted to give our users a fast, easy way to deploy Ubuntu in a virtualized environment."
