Dell Vostro 1320 Review

Due Credit:
Good friendly, I bring mini review to them of my new vostro 1320 here. This it publishes review it in its time in the part of notebooks here CHW, now the republico with its respective commentaries after months of use. Here this the Link where it was published originally so that they see the commentaries. Mini review Vostro 1320

I. Documentation on vostro 1320.
In the page of Dell we can find the following thing about Vostro 1320 Laptops Vostro is designed specifically for small companies. Screen of 13,3" and only 4.1 an initial weight of libras/1,86 kg. She is compact and light. Etc. On the basis of these characteristics and after to think it with my pillow much, I was decided. Because? By the following reasons:
1. As always the dirty money. It did not have a as ample budget as for a Latitude or a precision.
2. The size.
My first notebook was compaq with a screen of 15 ' and had a P4 and dedicated video. For eses times it was of hairs, but it weighed like one ton. Later it happens to a Dell Latitude D600 that it buys used. Very rich the equipment. He was rather smaller than the previous one and I realized that is the best thing for when one it wants mobility. So I said myself same: “same, it does not buy to you notices with great screen”. So I obeyed myself.
3. I am not addict to the games (or at least no longer like it was before). In addition that I have left in the past with the games, so I do not need as much power. Whereupon starcraft can be run already I am happy and the games of facebook.

4. That a good short while lasts to me. This is very important, since there is no lucas like changing to every short while and that it has good guarantee.
5. It left one supplies, so I was decided. II. Asked for configuration: Vostro 1320 Superior, which brings: PROCESSOR Intel® Core™2 Pair T6570 (2.1GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) OPERATING SYSTEM Windows Vista® Original Home BASIC - Spanish ELIJE YOUR Black COLOR SCREEN LCD Wide Screen LCD 13.3" UltraSharp™ WXGA with TrueLife MEMORY 4GB Channel Double Shared DDR2 SDRAM to 800MHZ, 2 DIMM HARD DISK Hard disk SATA of 320GB (7200RPM) with Sensor of free fall OPTICAL DEVICE 8X DVD /-RW with capacity of writing Double-Castrate DVD /-R, creator Roxio and Cyberlink PowerDVD™ DX 8.1 VIDEO CARD NVIDIA® GeForce™ 9300M GS 256MB BATTERY Lithium Ion Battery 6-celdasr WIRELESS CARD Mini Card Dell Wireless™ 1397 802.11b/g BLUETOOTH Wireless Bluetooth 2,0 Dell 355 for Vista® Windows CAMERA WEB Camera Web Integrated of 1,3 Accessory MP and Digital microphone ANTI-VIRUS AND SECURITY Without Anti-virus/Software de Seguridad SOFTWARE OF ADOBE Adobe® Reader 9.0 Servicio and Software GUARANTEE AND SERVICE 1 Year of guarantee limited in the site with answer the following workable day IT COMPLETES CARE Complete Care, 1 Year Good, as they can see, it has his good hard disk and an amount of memo, than more sufficient for me. And as it said to them, the supply was very good. Here I leave an image them of cpuz III. Appreciation: Packing: Referring to this point, pleasingly I am pleased. Although he is the first one notices Dell that I buy new, the box is of a quite resistant cardboard. In his interior and a separated box is the shipper with his cable. He notices perfectly comes prote'ge' with a stock market from “a special” plastic (I do not know as to describe it but he is smooth and pleasant) and with its respective esponjitas. In addition the discs with drivers, Norton and things came several. But the lamentable thing is that in the configuration selected UNDER acquired it is Win Vista BASIC, consequently I will not be able to remove the complete yield to the machine. UNDER: Due to the previous point, the disc was particionado and a second settled UNDER (win 7 x64 RC)

When using this UNDER, I am pleasingly made an impression, since the 100% of the machine automatically were recognized and everything properly installed. I must clarify that I have not proven port 1394 not to have anything to connect As it commented to them, UNDER which I am using is win 7 X64 RC, the truth that I do not have any problem until now. Like concrete data here this the note that put UNDER: The equipment: Its construction clearly is not like those of the lines superiors of Dell, but he is not poor either. Although note that is of “plastic”, this is not so weak. He is sober, (exactly what it looked for) and the finished one of the cover is very tuna. But I must say that it is a magnet to leave the marked fingers him. The keyboard and the DAP are pleasant to the tact and with a sensitivity adapted for clumsy fingers. The bellboys multimedia respond to the tact well and retro illuminates of touched blue color the being.

All the lights of notice are of blue color, which gives a special touch him. Although this color already has been seen for some time in some equipment, it is first in which all the lights are of this color. The ventilator is not noisy and they only start off at intervals to cool the components and its noise is not annoying. The hard disk to the being of 7200rpm hoped that outside noisier but in my opinion it is not it. To all this, generally the commentaries that I am giving are quite subjective since I am comparing us this with anything, only with personal appreciations and experiences with you notice previous. Battery: When using the equipment with wifi, economic way and in work office automation I can say that it lasts approximately 3 hours. Good it is of 6 cells. But when demanding the equipment a little more, note as this autonomy is falling. Experience of use and commentaries after 6 months of use. Generally the equipment fulfills perfectly my needs, which if there is thing that I have not liked, like for example:
a. The audio one lets enough wish, more than the quality is his under volume.
b. When one uses short while enough the equipment tends to warm up the zone where one supports the left hand, nothing burdens, but now that does heat bothers a little.
c. In Windows 7 I have not been able to leave touchpad working well, to that I talk about, is that there are moments at which a species becomes of retardation, which did not happen in win seen.
d. I had a serious problem when I updated the BIOS (can have been error mine) but it equal comment. But thanks to the guarantee (it completes care by a year) they came to change to the plate and all OK to me.
e. Clearly the technology updates more express than one it can (due to the dirty money) but a port is surprised e-sata.
f. That it sells an equipment with 4 gigas of ram but with Windows Vista BASIC, a not at all good combination to you Thing if they please to me at notices: a. The weight b. The size c. The yield versus $ d. The speed of the hard disk e. The quiet thing of the hard disk (it is well subjective, I am going but it to place equal)
f. The yield of the equipment with Windows 7 x64 g. the integrated chamber Web (he is my first one notices with this function) (0 problems in win 7) Final commentaries. Although I am not an expert in the subject I can recommend the equipment for people who need notebook for office automation, light work, mobility, etc. and that the budget more is fit. And they do not forget to wash the hands before taking hold notebook so that they are not the noticeable fingers.

Issues with device usage which travellers have to be aware of

Due Credit:
If you are one who is used to moving between different countries, you may be aware of the issue you encounter when your electronic devices are not compatible with the specific voltage levels used in that country. Japan voltage, for example, is a strange value of 100 volt which is not mostly compatible with other country’s devices. You can use a special Voltage converter which can convert the voltage to the voltage that your appliance works at. In many places people will also encounter voltage fluctuation issues which one has resolve with help of AC voltage regulator which of course, cannot be carried by travelers to all the places they go.

Searching for a voltage converter could be a big trouble if you had to travel to different countries and had to choose one solution at every stop. A wiser choice would be to go for travel transformers which is designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level. They are designed to compare the different output voltages to a fixed reference voltage and give a constant output voltage. These are ideal for use in places where there is a lot of voltage fluctuation. For more information visit voltagedepot.com

Holiday Gadgets : HP iPaq rx1950

Due Credit: Shopperslane and Centre.com for prie lists
Holiday Gadgets
If you can satisfy your PDA hunger without Bluetooth and a little less memory HP iPaq rx1950 could be your ideal x-mas gadget pick. The thin and light HP iPaq rx1950 features integrated Wi-Fi and Windows Mobile 5, and it has outstanding battery life (which is rare in most of the PDA's).

HP iPaq rx1950 may not be the latest PDA on the market but it still one of the best feature rich PDA i have ever encountered compare to the price. HP spruces up its entry-level handheld line with the HP iPaq rx1950 model, a slim and light PDA that doesn't cut corners on performance or battery life, with class-leading results. Armed with the latest Windows Mobile 5 operating system, the rx1950 can be a pocket office on the road but skimps on a few features here and there, most notably Bluetooth. At $300, however, the rx1950 costs half that of high-end business PDAs, so if you're on a budget and you're OK with the lack of Bluetooth, then the HP iPaq rx1950 is a perfectly capable handheld

It’s not new that sports car craze motivated laptop’s design; we had seen Acer’s Ferrari series. Now Asus come up with another legend in sport’s car industry, Italian Lamborghini featured in its latest laptop series. desktop level computing performance such as faster processing and high quality video/ audio enjoyment while enabling high mobility and better productivity with smaller form factor and longer battery life. The 15" VX1, weighing less than most of the 14" notebooks, is a powerful work machine with superior mobility. These are just few to mention among its powerful bunch of features. Personally I am impressed by this, never expected this kind of powerful computing standard from ASUS. Not to mention the looks, when I hold my first test VX1, I was feeling like touching Lamborghini itself. As you can tell I am totally stoned by the looks and performance, let’s take pick what’s with this baby:-

Bruit force of Alienware mALX

Don’t say you never dreamed of a Notebook to die for. A lot of critics say Alienware is expansive, retarded systems, they prefer Dell or Acer. But problem is yes may be a decade ago, when they started Alienware may be was like that but now its sheer with power and glamour. Expense, I would say fairly expansive but no way they can say now Alienware less powerful than any system on the planet. Alienware is known to be gamer’s passion, why? 2 things Power and Graphics (looks is additional gift). Alienware Aurora mALX is a powerhouse introduced lately. Adding a product touch that will undoubtedly make it stand out in a crowd, the Aurora mALX also features exotically stylish, airbrushed custom paint artwork that boldly implies power and strength, while shifting color through light refraction. I haven’t seen any laptop with this kind of chic looks, have you? Ok let’s say looks doesn’t matter, so how about other 19" desktop replacement notebooks cap out at 100GB. The Aurora mALX desktop replacement busts through this barrier with dual HD’s with 400GB capacities. Does that satisfy you? No! Than how about powered by latest AMD 64 bit processor, the most powerful processor on the planet and dual 512MB GeForce Go 7900 GTX, the FIRST notebook to deliver 1GB of dedicated graphics memory. I am sure you even already made the owo! Sound by now. Yes mates that are just a few weaponry of mALX large armory. I can bet my little sail boat (well that’s all I have) that this baby will make you tired without even slugging. Let’s take peak on the fact sheet of mALX---

Budget Laptop with performance: Lenovo 3000 V100

Well whole world’s media is focus towards ultra portable light Notebook/Laptop computer, but
Budget Laptops
does the entire consumer afford that? Since the high performance ultra portable pc’s cost no less than US $1.7k, if you want good performance with style. I have done a little survey on 100 net users around the world (off course I didn’t travel, the survey was limited to known people and contacts). 45 of them are full time student, 16 of them are part time student, 20 of them are full time professional, and 19 of them are either housewife or retired person. I was surprised that among all of them only 35% of them use laptops and only 11 of them have high end ultra portable high-performance notebooks. Do I even have to mention that none of them were student? One way or another all these 100 people are closely connected with IT industry, so you can’t say they don’t need high performance laptops. The reason they describe for not having Laptop is balance of cost and performance. Means high tech laptop cost a lot, but performance/power are not as high it can be in desktop at half price. They need power but, but like most of the general consumer have to budget their wallet. But since when we need mobility we really need laptop, that is the reason my quest for budget notebooks.

Say goodbye to your harddisk!

Well the one we all have been waiting for, the hard drive less laptop. But didn’t came from Sony, came from the maker of NAND flash drive Samsung. Earlier this year Samsung announced in Korea they are planning to release their first NAND powered computer, and it’s already published in Korean Samsung site. The model is named Q30 SSD (Solid state disks), in few days the ultra portable model will Q1SSD will be also available to Korean consumers. The price for Q30SSD was posted KRW3.5 million (around $3.7K). No word or press release about lunching these models outside Korea.
Q-30SSD's Hard Drive
Solid State Disk (SSD) Drive

Solid state disks are NAND flash-based memory drives. This concept isn't entirely new. Digital cameras use flash memory to store pictures, as do many MP3 players to store songs. The main problem with flash-based drives is larger capacities are very expensive and they have limited write cycles. These issues are being overcome though and flash memory has several advantages over hard disk drives like lower power consumption, more durability, more compact size, less heat dissipation, quieter operation and faster speed. The SSD reads 300 percent faster (53MB/s) and writes 150 percent quicker (28MB/s) than normal hard drives. As a result, multiple application programs can operate simultaneously and large volumes of data can be edited and reproduced more efficiently. Microsoft Windows XP will boot up 25-50% faster on the SSD than on other drives. Moreover, the typical 1.8-inch hard disk drive weighs around 50 grams; whereas the SSD is 20 to 30 grams lighter, depending on the package type
