There are reports pouring in of a possible joint company involving Hitachi, Toshiba, and Fujitsu dedicated to hard drive and storage technologies.
According to CNet, the three japanese giants are discussing the possibility of creating a joint venture that would combine their ailing storage divisions.
Hitachi has continued to lose ground against Seagate and Western Digital, two drive companies that currently are profitable.If a deal occurs, it will likely occur by April 1, the beginning of the new business year in Japan.
