Budget Laptop with performance: Lenovo 3000 V100

Well whole world’s media is focus towards ultra portable light Notebook/Laptop computer, but
Budget Laptops
does the entire consumer afford that? Since the high performance ultra portable pc’s cost no less than US $1.7k, if you want good performance with style. I have done a little survey on 100 net users around the world (off course I didn’t travel, the survey was limited to known people and contacts). 45 of them are full time student, 16 of them are part time student, 20 of them are full time professional, and 19 of them are either housewife or retired person. I was surprised that among all of them only 35% of them use laptops and only 11 of them have high end ultra portable high-performance notebooks. Do I even have to mention that none of them were student? One way or another all these 100 people are closely connected with IT industry, so you can’t say they don’t need high performance laptops. The reason they describe for not having Laptop is balance of cost and performance. Means high tech laptop cost a lot, but performance/power are not as high it can be in desktop at half price. They need power but, but like most of the general consumer have to budget their wallet. But since when we need mobility we really need laptop, that is the reason my quest for budget notebooks.

IBM Lenovo Notebooks comes with two styles, ThinkPad and Non-ThinkPad. In search of my quest of budget Notebooks I found Lenovo 3000 V100 a dazzling choice.

The latest addition to Lenovo's line of non-ThinkPad laptops for small businesses, the Lenovo 3000 V100 just in between ultra portable and thin-and-light. With a starting weight of 4 pounds, the V100 combines a relatively small form factor and a 12.1-inch wide-screen display with features you'd usually find on larger laptops, such as a comfortable keyboard and a built-in optical drive. And while the V100 isn't the only "large ultra portable" on the market (the similar-sized Dell XPS M1210 and the Sony VAIO SZ offer a comparable set of features), its $999 (in Lenovo & tigerdirect web store) starting price makes it one of the least expensive models in its class. If you're looking for a laptop that's portable but still has all the features you'll need for work (and some game play), the Lenovo 3000 V100 is a very good choice. Not to mention the wallet won’t hurt a bit. Like the XPS M1210, the Lenovo 3000 V100 features a 12.1-inch wide-screen display with a sharp 1,280x800 native resolution and a glossy finish that's great for watching movies. Let’s take a closer look at the remarkable key features of Lenovo. You will find it cheap but enough resourceful I am sure about that.
